Sixth Form students may use the Library for private study when they are free, unless a class has been booked.
Our library is an inviting space in which students feel comfortable, relaxed and at ease, a peaceful haven amongst the hustle and bustle of school life during break times.
Staff can book classes booked in throughout the school day, as well as the use of the ITC suite found opposite the main library, where computerized research facilities are available. These include networked computers, which allow students access to the school intranet, the Internet, and network printers.
The library's collection has been tailored to meet the needs of our students to create a love of reading and an appreciation of literature. Our goal is to select materials to enrich the curriculum and to create content areas in the library with lots of enticing materials to spark a wide range of students' interests.
The library runs the software Oliver, Specially designed for school libraries , Oliver is one of the latest and innovative systems available. It is a web-based SQL system. OPAC is an interactive portal, allowing users to search Full-text, access their own Account, look at New Books, display Reading Lists and more.
