Key Stage 3
Years 7, 8 and 9 use a range of software and enhance existing skills in ICT lessons. KS3 students do 1 lesson per week of dedicated ICT. They learn how to create graphic products using Fireworks and make innovative websites in Dreamweaver - in addition to using standard Microsoft Office software. Each unit of study has a context – a real-life scenario which students can relate to. Assessments are carried out periodically and students also conduct independent learning tasks.

Examples of KS3 units:

• Who killed Harry? – Yr 7 students play detective and build an Access database to solve a crime
