From KS3 to KS5, the English Department at DESC inspires students to appreciate Language and Literature through its innovative approaches towards developing reading and writing skills. Additionally, students’ Speaking and Listening abilities are expanded through performance, presentations and debates.
Regular assessments are challenging, preparing students for their examinations and equipping them with essential life skills for the future. Students also have the opportunity to become involved in various extracurricular activities including the school newspaper, reading groups and local literary events.
